Senate Bill 1126
As a mother of young children, I cannot stay silent about Senate Bill 1126, introduced by Senator Dave Min. The bill suggests that a child witnessing domestic violence isn’t enough to warrant reporting by mandated reporters to law enforcement. It’s a dangerous precedent that puts our children at risk.
Witnessing violence in the home leaves lasting scars on innocent minds. By dismissing such incidents as insufficient grounds for intervention, we fail to protect the most vulnerable among us.
We need to start prioritizing the safety and well-being of our children above all else. Together, we must raise our voices and ensure that every child in our community receives the protection and support they deserve.
Send a letter today and urge your elected representative to vote NO on SB 1126.
